An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cruise Marketing Manager to join our growing cruise department in our Newcastle office. This a full-time role based on 40 hours per week (flexible to meet the needs of the business).

Role Summary

The role will focus on leading, developing and planning marketing activities across Cruise to ensure that the department delivers sales growth and profit.

•  We’re not a hierarchical organisation and you’ll be speaking to some of the most senior managers in this role, so you’ll get great exposure, and will need to be comfortable engaging at all levels

 

•  You’ll dot the i’s and cross the t’s. By that, we mean you’ll possess excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities
Develop the Cruise marketing plan with the Head of Cruise & Head of Marketing
Produce the Cruise email schedule and marketing plan
Build Cruise marketing emails, alongside the internal team, using an ESP (e.g. Mailchimp)
Design and liaise with the Marketing Manager and external agencies and platforms to produce Direct Mailers/Postcards for Cruise
Manage Cruise social media platforms, using both organic content and paid ads, to achieve agreed KPIs
Produce excellent quality and content material that can be used across all cruise marketing collateral
Monitor overall performance of the cruise site, including working with SEO/PPC managers to ensure effectiveness of digital marketing channels
Maintain the site including designing and uploading Cruise line pages, offers and banners
Build high converting landing pages within CRM & External provider
Utilise Adobe Creative Cloud platforms to design and create assets including banners, social media graphics
Identify new routes to market for the cruise brand – text messaging, WhatsApp, lead generation
Attend relevant events and organise event collateral
Ensure you are compliant with all marketing privacy policies / GDPR/Company Brand guidelines
Achieving KPI’s and targets
Attend Cruise operator meetings and ship visits
To ensure there is always excellent departmental and cross departmental communication and teamwork to deliver best practices for the whole business
To be involved with any other ad-hoc projects as may be required from time to time
Skills & Experience
A minimum of 1 years’ experience of working in a similar role
Demonstrable record of achieving targets and KPI’s
Ability to demonstrate experience of running both paid and organic social media accounts across Facebook, Instagram and Youtube
Ability to work on own initiative and as a member of a team
The ability to build strong and effective relationships with a wide range of people across all levels
A passion and desire for achieving and delivering results both personally and as part of a successful team
Ability to create and maintain a positive, enthusiastic working environment in order to drive and maximise sales and marketing opportunities
Excellent analytical, planning and organisational skills including the ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects and prioritise workload
Outstanding influencing and negotiation skills, at all levels
Ability to work in a fast-paced target orientated environment
Significant knowledge and market trading experience in the travel industry, in order to predict market trends and identify new business opportunities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to use Microsoft packages, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word
Use of the internet CMS systems
Ability to utilise Design Platforms including Adobe Creative Suite
Preferred experience of video editing and video production
To undertake any other duties that may fall into the job criteria
